Golf Course Assistant Superintendent

Looking for an individual with Turfgrass Management Experience, four year degree preferred. Someone who is Self-motivated with good people and communication skills is required for this position.

Effingham Country Club is in the middle of a $1.8 million renovation. This experience would broaden any individuals resume. ECC has a New Superintendent who is looking forward to sharing his experiences and mentoring a future superintendent.

Assistant Superintendent
Urbana Golf and Country Club

Urbana Golf and Country Club is seeking a qualified candidate for the Assistant Superintendents position. The candidate should have a two– or four– year degree or a two-year certificate in turfgrass management or related field. Several years of golf course experience with at least two years experience as a second assistant or spray tech is preferred. Pesticide applicator certification at time of employment is required. We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starter with an eye for detail, looking to eventually step into a position as a Golf Course Superintendent. Spanish speaking skills are preferred but not essential.

Duties would include golf course maintenance, purchasing, clubhouse lawns, flower gardens, trees and shrubbery, and fertilizer/pesticide application. Benefits include health insurance, annual vacation, meals, uniforms, dues paid for local chapter membership, expenses paid for local chapter conferences, and expenses paid for attending local chapter meetings.

Responsible to Golf Course Superintendent.
